Wardrobe Guide

What to wear and where to shop for our South Indian wedding celebration

We want you to feel comfortable and enjoy the celebration!

While we've put together this guide to help you navigate the different events, these are merely suggestions, not requirements. Your presence matters more than what you wear. Feel free to wear attire you already own or whatever makes you most comfortable. The joy of having you there is what matters most!

Tips for Wearing Indian Attire

For First-Time Wearers

  • Sarees: Pre-pleated sarees or half-sarees are easier options if you're wearing a saree for the first time.
  • Comfort: Consider the weight of heavily embellished outfits when making your choice.
  • Fabric: Silk and heavy fabrics are traditional but can be warm; choose breathable fabrics if you're not used to Bangalore's climate.
  • Footwear: Most Indian outfits pair well with comfortable sandals or juttis (traditional Indian footwear).
  • Jewelry: Traditional Indian attire is often paired with gold jewelry and bangles.
  • Draping Assistance: If you need help with draping a saree, we'll have assistants available at the venue.
